A series of performances touching on the theme of conservation began with the group Parazit's exhibition Human Fate, which took place at the Borey Gallery in 2016. In the exhibition Here and Now, which was held at the Moscow Manezh in August 2018, it was possible to expand the barrel format and use 3,000 liters of water. The difficulty turned out to be heating the water, and so we had to sit in water 18 degrees Celsius, which itself was a challenge for the body. The theme of salvation and maintenance of vitality in isolation (precisely internal isolation) is related to the loss of hopes for integration with global art. Barrel as a way of preservation with its micro-atmosphere is the construction of a sense of the new parameters of state existence. The artist feels in his own way the moment when his geography narrows at the expense of the political movements of the country where he works. And, if there is elite isolation, the ivory tower, then the forced form of not elite isolation at all is the barrel with the artist there in his own juice.
